Total X-Stream Air Speed Loader Review [2]

This is a Lanard blaster in the X-Stream Air line of guns. It's an 8 shooter that has a shotgun style pump handle. Out the box its not very impressive but once the restrictors are removed is pretty descent. It uses gears to pull the plunger back and has a nice stock spring. I think its a nice gun but I guess its not popular because of the gears and you cant use too strong of a spring because the gears will slip. I'd rate it better then the Nerf Maverick because it has more shots and shoots further. So far I have only marker barreled mine and put a spacer behind the spring but I would like to do more. I purchased mine in a set from Amazon but its also sold by itself. You may also want to try ebay and around christmas time it was also found in Giant food markets.Video

  1. mine is green but mine is actually like worst than the maverick.Imlooking foward to making this gun even better than the maverick because it works like a shot gun but it doesnt shoot that far.

  3. The way Lanard works is with air restrictors that you can just poke out with a screwdriver.

There are some videos on YouTube about it.

  6. with a better seal on the plunger, a slightly stronger spring replacement, and a Cpvc barrel replacement, what kind of ranges can I expect from this blaster.

  7. I think I would also try to improve on the plunger-barrel seal with hot glue (similar to what was done to the doomsayer). I was thinking that 50 feet might be possible because of the larger sized plunger tube and the airtight properties of CPVC. it just needs an O-ring and a lot of E-tape (not to mention some white lithium) to take advantage of its larger plunger tube. the way it is stock it takes nearly 1/2 of the plunger tube distance to build up pressure ://

IDK, I'm hoping that the mod job I do on it can get something like that ;) If I could give this weapon 45+ foot range it would be a devastating side arm because of its pump action priming and small size.
Hopefully my mod partner can recoup the investment he put into the blaster after the mods are complete :D
(he bought it with a DS off of ebay for 15$ with shipping, but the DS was heavily messed up.....with its 1st plunger head shattered off and the rod cracked and the 2ed plunger seal broken as well as a disable trigger because of the utterly broken 1st plunger tube)

  8. 50 feet would require a stiff spring. Too stiff of a spring and the gears will slip. I wish you luck and let me know how it turns out.
