A Nerf Longshot with a Nerf Vulcan front barrel and a Nerf Deploy stock. I now have 3 extra tactical rails on my Longshot. It looked a little different in my head but I guess it turned out ok. At least it shoots far. I need some paint scheme ideas.
While inside I decided to add a second spring from a BBB and make some small improvements. With everything done it will be getting ranges of about 80 feet. Its capable of more but the short stock barrel hurts ranges, some darts spin out the gun because of too much power.
Add a second spring, some foam should be added to the tip of the plunger because it's gonna be loud.
After removing the restrictor I filled in the dead space with a piece of cpvc wrapped in electrical tape.
I filled the hole in the barrel with hot glue
I wanted to use the tactical rail shield with this gun but the Vulcan front is too wide, so needed to make it thinner. I took off the side panels and trimmed them down.
Trimmed on the left, un-trimmed on the right. I will cut the one on the right on the black line. Now the shield will fit, a little tight but it fits.
A lot will need to be cut from the Vulcan front barrel before it will fit the Longshot.
The Deploy stock is way too wide for the Longshot, there is a lot of glue holding this stock on.
A little disappointed with how it looks. Don't be surprised if you see this on ebay.
I'll bet it would look much better if you give it a more uniform paintjob. The different styles/schemes don't look to great together right now but it could look good with a paintjob. And it would bring more on ebay if you still don't like it.
1. Is it a good idea to put in the BBB spring with the shortened barrel?
2. what kind of ranges could I expect from that gun?
3. what would happen if I kept the extra raider spring in my LS? would that be too powerful?
4. how strong is the pull force on the gun? do you need the stock to make pulling it back easier? (I used to have a raider and Nightfidner spring in my gun and the pullback was pretty intense)
P.S. I use my gun in HvZ and they tend to frown on heavily modded guns. Would you say that it would be too powerful with that spring combination?
It is hard to pull back with the BBB spring added, but your ranges would be in the 80-90 foot range. If they frown on modded guns that combination would be way too powerful.
in that case ill keep the BBB spring (I found a 3 spring combination that works pretty well in my BBB) in case we ever have an off campus Nerf skirmish with no rules attached.
hey jerm since your barrel is to short why dont you do the extended barrel mod and may i ask after all your great mods how come i never saw you do an angel breech or brass breech to your guns may i ask why?
wow thats powerful
ReplyDeleteDo you have any more pics of the entire gun?
ReplyDeleteHow did you secure the vulcan barrel? Did you have to cut the deploy stock?
ReplyDeleteCould you get some pick if the connection points?
Thats a really friggen sweet lookin gun!

ReplyDeleteNo local stores have brass, too lazy to order some.
ReplyDeleteLOL but jerm you do know that you can still make the breech with cpvc i saw it on Nerf Haven.
ReplyDeletehave you ever tried to put on the recon light on the shield then put it on the vulcan
ReplyDeleteHow did you get the deploy stock off?
ReplyDeleteMy Deploy now sits in pieces, the stock comes off once you completely take it apart.
ReplyDeleteYou said you would sell this, How many would you ask for it?
ReplyDeleteone of the funniest things I've ever seen, a scope with a shield in front of it XD
ReplyDeletehow about a Longshot main gun with a stampeade front and a recon stock???
ReplyDeleteHow about flat black, silver and grey highlights?
ReplyDeleteIs the stock comfurtable? It looks like it.
