I never thought I'd see the day when one of the most "Tacticool" Nerf Blasters would have to turn in it's Man Card, but here it is. Carl has painted up the N-Strike Rayven CS-18 in a "My Little Pony" theme. At first when I saw the submission my stomach turned at the thought of what it might be, but it is actually done quite well. For all you "Bronies" out there, eat your hearts out. For everyone else, just accept that it's a good paintjob and ignore the theme!
"Since I use my blasters for playing Humans Vs Zombies in a public area I'm not allowed to paint my blasters dark colors. we can't have anyone confuse a blaster for a firearm, a misunderstanding can get the game ban from the campus. I decided do a paint job themed around my favorite character from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Hasbro owns both the Nerf and My Little Pony franchise, both have a young target demographic but are a hit with college students and adults, so I'm surprised I haven't seen this done before. "

MLP+Nerf? I'm a brony, but I never thought that this would be here.
ReplyDeleteBrony on people!
Soloz1, I guess this is your kind of thing...
ReplyDeleteBRONIES OF THE WORLD UNITE!
DeleteMake me a Rainbowdash one. NOW! Not a brony. Just find the show interesting.
ReplyDeleteIf you enjoy the show, you are a bring. You don't have to be a part of the community. There are tons of amazing musicians. (I'm trying to be one, not really working)
DeleteF yeah, Fluttershy!
ReplyDeleteBronies have always been a talented bunch of people. It was only a matter of time for this to be done.
ReplyDeleteAnd, like the article mentions, it should be again mentioned that it took an abnormally long time for this to be done given the community's reputation for promptness.
This is one of the best paint jobs I've ever seen. Fluttershy is awesome.
ReplyDeletei watched this guy progress on this on google+. soooo awesome.
ReplyDeleteNerf is now 20% cooler
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking there needs to be a Nightmare Moon-themed Longshot. If my own LS was worthy of it I'd probably have done it already, but it needs more work before becoming the personal weapon of the Princess of the Night. (plus I suck at painting)
It's not Rainbow Dash, therefore your argument is INVALID. XD
Delete@Berkut
ReplyDeleteYeah, seriously. I've seen fanart come out within hours of an episode's airing. The fact it took this long for anyone to Bronyify a Nerf gun is strange.
the Rayven is not ashamed of being a brony, the rayven was born this way
ReplyDeleteGood Paintjob-but I dont like My little pony-so I can't appreciate it all the way...
ReplyDeleteHow did you get the decals on the blaster? Were they water-slides?
ReplyDeleteNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid sooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!
DeleteIT MUST BE MIIIIINEEEEEE. FLUTTERSHY, here I come!!!
ReplyDeleteTO THE MAN WHO MADE THIS GUN.
ReplyDeleteI was at the Penn State Invitational and I helped a mod carry this to Thomas.
Much love to you mysterious painter. It was awesome holding this.
