Elite Alpha Trooper: speculation and conjecture continued

The pics of the Elite Alpha Trooper sparked more comments than usual since the "AT" is so much of a favorite for so many people.

One of the biggest reasons why people are skeptical of this being a legitimate new blaster is due to the color of the plunger tube.  The other clip system Elite blasters have white plastic that seems to be tougher than the normal plastic while the picture shows an orange tube.

What people didn't notice was that this plunger tube isn't the same as any other tube on out there (that I know of) and if it was a hoax, the person would probably just stick in a Retaliator tube, or paint it white to look like one.

The argument of the orange plunger tube in the Elite Alpha Trooper vs white tubes in other clip system Elite blasters being evidence to this being fake loses more steam when you look at the big bright orange tube in the Rampage to the left.

So, for all you people hoping for an Elite AT, there is a little more hope for you.

  1. Nice to see that they're amping up previous blasters. If all the speculation is true I'm still going to have to pass on this one. I prefer the Raider/Rampage over the AT for some reason.

    1. Rampage/Raider has a much better grip for starters.

    2. AT almost never jams, raider eats darts like potato chips, AT is more sturdy, and fires farther. Has a more convienient magazine placement too.

    3. Agreed... i only bought the Clear Raider for the 35rd Drum. I have a Rampage but barely use it outside the 25rd drum. I love my AT! Plus i mainly use the Stryfe as prime, AT 2nd and Rough Cut as bk up/side arm. "S"

  2. Another thing that I noticed, is the fact that the ENTIRE shell is blue and does not look like paint on the inside.
It could be a hoax BUT if it is, some one took alot of care to make the inside look as real as possible and has done it with very nice painting skillz

    1. Yeah, I made this same comment on one of the other posts. Unless they went to the trouble to actually mold the shell out of blue plastic, then this thing is real. That IS NOT painted blue.

  3. The reason why SG Nerf's Rampage internals was orange was because he somehow managed to obtain a pre-retail release of the blaster.

Thus, the EAT seems rather legit, especially that the internals are probably for pre-retail purposes.

One could simply transplant elite internals into an Alpha Trooper like I personally did, but if this is coming out, all I can say is that I'm not passing up on this.

    1. Good arguments, just one thing why a standard N-strike clip and regular streamlines? I think this is a pre-production version. i woudent be suprized if someone from hasbro did this.

    2. Well that's why it's a pre-production version.
SG Nerf'pre-production Rampage still had the words "Raider" on it so he didn't even bother taking it apart at first.

For some strange reason he decided to open it up and was pleasantly surprised to see full-orange, direct plunger internals.

  4. The clip is only showing the solid side of elite clips. For all we know the other side could be clear.

    1. Elite Clips have a different design on the bottom. The clip that is pictured is a normal N-Strike Clip, not an Elite one.

  5. Man, I still wonder what the hell the Incinerator is.

  6. Hey jerm, do you usually paint the entire shell or do you just do the outside? And the clip and darts arent elite. Maybe they just put it there to fit
