A: The mod community, short-movie makers, Stock players have given plenty of feedback, and raised some interesting options for N-Strike blasters. Basically fans continue to show innovation and what they expect from Nerf and they change what is to be created. This is why there is a 2 year plan in place. Hasbro R&D keep a watchful eye on all communities, so guys keep it up.

A: They will come eventually to all territories, stay up to date with your local retailers.

A: Apart from the Dart Tag Stinger box set no. No comment on N-Force.
Q: Follow up question, If Dart Tag and N-Force are still supported; are there any plans to

A: There is no plans for Dart Tag range to expand (The Stinger set is a glorified Jolt with an Elite paint job), Hasbro are happy with the range, and feel they still have untapped utility. No comment on N-Force.
Q: Third follow up question, Will there be an advanced series of Vortex, will it be given a similar
treatment to N-Strike? "Vortex Elite" possibilities?
A: No comment.
Q: Will any N-Strike blasters that are NOT transitioned to the N-Strike Elite series still be
available for retail sale with the N-Strike Elite series or is the entire series being discontinued
in favor of N-Strike Elite with blasters that are not transitioned over discontinued?
A: The N-Strike range will be discontinued, in favor for N-Strike Elite - some territories are already in that phase, some are no where near it.
Q: Will there be any more sub-series released in the near future?
A: No comment.
Q: Will the Dart Tag World Championship league be held again or is it completely over?

A: In the UK, fans can expect some very exciting things. Dart Tag is going to be pushed in a big way, especially since Paragon Ent. have secured a license for official Nerf stores. These in a nutshell will have arenas for Leagues, Store vs Store and plan National tournaments. Maybe even TV sport coverage. That is up to fans if they like Dart Tag enough. These will not be limited to tweens, but Kidults too (wohoo).
Q: Will the new 2012 products be headed to Countries outside the US anytime soon such as the UK and Canada?
A: Some products are unique to certain stores, but we should expect a majority of them to be available at some point.
Q: Is the rumored "Incenerator" another name for the Firestrike or is it a completely new blaster?
A: This is indeed lost in translation, as is the "Counterstrike".
Q: Will there be a new version of the belt fed Havok (Vulcan) using elite darts
A: No comment
Q: Does Nerf take anything from HvZ communities?
A: Hasbro actually do take feedback from the HvZ players and communities, because it is one of the larger off-spin parts of the Nerf hobby. The feedback they see on community pages helps angle product development with HvZ in mind.
Q: What does Nerf say about OMW? Or NerfTech?
A: They basically don't approve of any mod that makes their blasters unsafe. They work to strict Toy Safety Regulations and certain mods undo that safety. Innovations like NerfTech are funky but do not impact on their own accessory plans.
Q: Will you make a Elite Alpha Trooper and can you send Strongarm to Malaysia?
A: This is confirmed to be real, Argos.co.uk have it as an exclusive blaster. They will ship it to their sister companies in the US. No confirmation for Asia and other territories. Strongarm is expected to be available - see your local retailer.
Q: Nitefinder has Firestrike as a direct successor or is this still going to be Elite'd?

DeleteI see "Did Rambo ever need one?" as more of a hint at the current direction of product development, which can be inferred to be machine guns or automatic rifles of some sort (hence Rambo, who is associated with spraying wildly with automatic weapons).
DeleteBecause Nerf has to comply with safety regulations for a children's toy, ultimately that limits how much power they can put behind each dart and what kind of darts they can use. The only way we will see a true sniper rifle is if they release some kind of "pro" series that is only for adults.

DeleteI would kill for an elite Longstrike. It is easily my favorite blaster, and I don't know how much longer my Longstrike w/ Massacre mod will last(I've already had to repair the pc parts).

DeleteN-Force may be on the chopping block and Nerf doesn't want to let that info out so as to not hurt sales or discourage distributors from stocking these products. Similarly, Vortex seems to have a dearth of attention directed at it. We did recently get a slamfire Praxisoid, a unique magazine and a gimmicky "Multishot Madness" entry - but it is confirmed that we have no accessories coming, and vortex has historically been lacking in interest compared to darts. Overall there seems to be much more enthusiasm about darts and dart guns of the non-velcro variety, than about anything else, and it is logical to assume that the answer to the "Vortex Elite" inquiry is no.
From a little testing it also seems that the pyragon spring load is already pretty much at the top end of what would even benefit ranges for discs. The way they work it seems like the drag vs the mass of the disc really puts a cap on the range. I did some tests with a volt modded nitron using weighted discs and found that they got a substantial increase in range at high voltage vs negligible increases with the same voltage with stock discs. Unfortunately because of the way the springer vortexes work it doesn't leave a good place to weight discs.

I am super excited when they say ranges exceed 75 feet considering the elite blasters claimed up to 75 feet. I feel like 2 of the elite blasters are an elite longstrike and something like a stampede.

DeleteIts kind of crap how Hasbro tries to keep everything under the weather when so much info gets leaked out before release. I'm surprised they haven't seen that most stores could care less about release dates and everybody will eventually find out before you even officially announce anything. I would just release as soon as everything is absolutely ready instead of teasing everybody with blacked out sneak peak videos and suing people for the little reasons. I'm excited regardless but after all the faults in their "surprise" system, they may as'well throw off the covers and end the speculation before it starts.

DeleteMy guess on what the three blasters that will excede the 75 foot marker will be an Elite Long Shot/Strike, Elite Vulcan (I want this one to happen the most. I like the weight and overal look of the vulcan, so to have that with range would make my day), and either the elite AT or something new.
ReplyDeleteyou know Hasbro should find some loophole through Australia's extra strict toy safety standards and then we'll actually be able to get the power which we're paying (i want 75ft+ blasters in aus) for instead of an underpowered piece crap which is more expensive than the exact same thing from amazon us with the elite ranges in America. for my opinion i'd say they either give us the elite ranges or lower the price to balance out with our weakened blasters. onto an idea for a loophole is that they ship in the blaster and the spring as separate items and then the you assemble it together after buying both or relabeling the 75ft boxes with 15m and replacing the orange with a grey trigger but with the full powered spring in. and i agree with what ScrAps711 said about an adults only series as a possibility for Australian Nerf guns. in fact i think someone should get a petition signed by Aussie nerfer for Australia to get the power of the US equivalents or for Aus nerfers to threaten to boycott Nerf until they lower their price to the American price if they can't give us elite ranges.

With the recently leaked "centurion," I think that it's pretty safe to say that the N-Strike MEGA series is slated for the special September release. The "there will be 3 new N-Strike blasters. Their new ranges exceed 75 feet" statement almost confirms that.
