This picture is from the New York Toy Fair. I have no idea what the blaster is actually called. The reason this is interesting isn't because of the iPhone cradle, but because it appears to be powered and air tank. If this is the case, I know many of you will be happy to add another air tank blaster to the dwindling list of blaster of that type being sold. This also fires the big marshmallows, which mean that, whether it's a springer or an air tank, this this will be packing some power.
This appears to be marked "Marshmallow Dual Blaster". I am also thinking it's an airgun, but I think the stock is a manual pump handle and there is no compressor onboard. Why? It's called a "blaster". Marshmallow Fun Co. has a naming convention of sorts based on mechanical function, and "blaster" in this case is not a general term used to euphemize "gun", but has been applied to a specific product, a manually pumped single shot pneumatic.
ReplyDeleteLikewise, the "Marshmallow Shooter" is a Reactor-type push/pull, "Marshmallow Crossbow" is a bow, "Marshmallow Mforcer" is the semi-auto airgun, "Marshmallow Mazooka" is the compressor-equipped airgun, etc. I think this may just be a dual tank Marshmallow Blaster (Two hoppers at once, NIC people? How's that sound?).
Note the yellow warning insert shoved into one of the barrels. I wonder what that's all about.
This isn't entirely true. The Rapidfire is listed as a shooter and it is and air tank.
DeleteThe warning label is standard for Marshmallow fun Co. It's pretty much the same concept as the warnings on nerf blasters.
Idk if it's just me, but marshmallow guns get old once you start modding nerf.
ReplyDeleteYou mod them to shoot darts, they can be extremely powerful.
