ZombieStrike SledgeFire

Zombie Fever has caught on at Hasbro!  Most fans have already caught a glimpse of the new HammerShot, but now there's a 3-round shotgun called the "SledgeFire".  I pieced these photos together to get better resolution on the blaster/box (as seen on Tactical Tag) off of the Target website, so expect to see these hitting shelves late this summer in the US.  Looks like it's gonna be another fun time for Nerf, what with the ZombieStrike line, the Rebelle line, and the N-Strike Elite MEGA line making it's debut with the Centurion... I know a few folks who will have dry wallets once these hit retailers.

  3. I can see some new "grenades" being made for this from toilet paper tubes with three holes in the back to fit on the ARs with sock tips or something. insta grenade launcher fun ftw

  4. I wish I could jump on the happy bandwagon but there is one huge glaring issue....

This thing basically uses shells... Which I am assuming will have quite a few cons such as limitations on how quickly you can fire and how effective this thing will be....

Although I will be excited when someone gets their hands on this and makes a no shell mod that will eliminate this design flaw.

    1. design flaw? yeah shells can be a pain but loading preloaded shells into it after firring is a lot faster that having to load 3 darts in, there is like a 6:1 speed ratio given by the shell.

    2. And then you run out of shells.... Then what? The number of times you can reload quickly is limited by the number of shells you have. If you have six shells that's cool.... But then you have keep the shells in a dump pouch or pocket, retreat, reload all six shells, then you can engage again; and at any time during those steps you can get hit and you are out.

All it comes down to is what you're willing to deal with; quicker reloads that will become much slower once your shells run out or have slower reloads but not having to deal with shell refills?

Of course being able to make a strategy that covers weakness is a huge factor, but one way or another, you have to make a choice; albeit not a life changing one lol

    3. same problem with clips, if you can buy more shells then what is the difference between emptying a shell or clip. they both make firring faster.

    4. True... But that doesn't mean I'm not excited for this blaster.

I'm just glad there are at least a few people willing to actually discuss the usability of this blaster instead of just drooling over it X3

    5. They aren't shotgun shells, they're plastic shells for foam blasters

    6. If you want more shells for this shotty, you can print them out from here:

  5. It will probably be break open and you will load the three rounds at the same time, CoD BO II Storm PSR style

    1. This will be like a Sawn off shotgun and the other zombiestrike pistol (dont remember name) will be a revolver

  6. The explanation for this is simple. The guns in ZombieStrike are designed for that epic game, Zombies. In this game the zombies have 3 lives which you shoot out, and the players if touched by aforementioned zombies, the players become zombies. THIS gun can take all 3 lives out at once. Not only that, this would be great ambush weapon and/or secondary.

Note on color scheme, it's not that bad considering what Buzz Bee is doing.

  7. If you don't like the shells, you can probably drill a hole somewhere safe and shove a pin inside to hold it. Then you can arm it and just load your darts from the front. Doesn't seem too difficult.

  8. The barrel appears to be detachable if you look closely. If so, can it be used with n-strike barrels?

  9. Seems like the barrel break has been ridiculously overhauled and gone zombie

  10. this seris could be one of, if not THE, most popular seris in nerf history

  11. Underbarrel tactical rail doesn't sound very smart, considering how it's probably cocked similarly to barrel break or the buzz bee double barrels.

    1. It's NOT cocked using the Barrel Break's Mechanism. Look at the Sledgefire closely. Don't you see the hammer cock?

    2. wrong idcase. it is primed via breaking the barrel. just check the internals

  12. I just grabbed one yesterday, the only one the local Target had, and I can shed some light on some of the above questions and comments.

First it is a breach loading, barrel break, blaster that requires a shell that can hold up to 3 elite darts. I say "up to" as the blaster will fire any combination of what you load 1-3.

Second the barrel is not removable. The actual break point for loading is forward on the blaster, where a person above pointed out that perhaps the barrel is removable. The hammer is like the BB Doubleshot and is how you release the barrel to remove and reload a shell.
Will be looking at opening it up to check mod opportunities at some point. Solid blaster IMO

  13. Also, there is no under barrel tac rail. There is one Tac rail topside in the middle of the blaster.
